Blue Frog Design evolved after Owner and Managing Director, John Federico, recognised a gap and the huge potential in the Electrical & Telecommunications industry. Blue Frog Design is charged to revolutionise all things Electrical & Telecommunication.

Established in June 2015, Blue Frog Design was formed by its Owner / Managing Director, John Federico. Although a relatively young Electrical & Communications consultancy firm, its team has years of subject matter experience. Whilst achieving several key milestones in the short journey travelled, Blue Frog Design continues to build a strong reputation in Urban Residential Development, Sporting Complexes, AS3000, Communications and NBN and Power Utility HV/LV OH/UG Projects and Programs.

Although Blue Frog Design prides itself on its subject matter expertise, its single driver for continued success, trust and enjoyment is good old customer service. Blue Frog Design has prospered to become a sustainable and yet solid accredited Electrical & Communications consultancy firm proudly renowned for its knowledge and high level Duty of Care.

What factors influenced your decision in starting your business?

Time and Flexibility…. Have always wanted to start my own Business and only wish I did at the age of 40 not 50…..

 What factors ensure the continued success of your business? 

  • Ceasing an opportunity and offer a point of difference. Taking customer service to the next level.

  • Be forever kind to my employees, clients and contractors

  • Make money / profit…..

What are some challenges/threats you see facing small business?

  • The BLOODY ATO….. The taxes a Company pays is terrible.

  • Particularly for new Start ups very hard to reinvest in the business while paying so much tax.

  • New entrants, clients only focusing on price and not service and quality.

 What factors would influence you to support Marcellin?

I love the Marcellin Community there are so many like minded people. More so now that I am coaching the U19’s Old boys. It not only gives me a chance to develop their football skills but also give some guidance of the importance of positive attitude, resilience and behaviour..
