Business Breakfast wrap October 2014

A last minute schedule clash with the Functions Room saw the latest Business Breakfast hosted at the Manningham Hotel.  Despite the 6.30am start, everyone was in good form and there was a great buzz in the room.  We were thrilled to have so many first timers at this event, many of whom are current parents at the College.  It was great too to see some of our early Canterbury Roaders there in Richard Olive and Brian Moritz.

Mark Cooper and Marcellin Principal Mark Murphy handled the formalities with their usual aplomb.

Guest speaker Matthew Guy MLC gave an engaging presentation about life as a Politician, handling the many complex issues related to planning and infrastructure and some extraordinary statistics relating to the growth of Melbourne.  And there was a terrific Q&A session at the end.

Peter Simpson took home the door prize and formalities were done by 8.15.  Thanks are in order to Prue O'Shannessy especially for her impeccable planning and a big shout out to Pat Walters from the Manningham Hotel who accommodated us at short notice.
